Welcome to Moonstar Samoyeds!
Our involvement with the breed began in 1988 when Tsiulikagta’s Illamar became part of our family. What started out as just a family companion evolved into joining the world of dog fanciers, dog shows and dog clubs, and gave birth to a life long passion.
Our dogs are first and foremost members of our family. Having a canine friend is our first priority. Having a show dog is second.
With puppies, our goal is to make sure that they go to homes that provide as much love and care as they receive here. All dogs have hips and eyes checked (OFA and CERF certified) before being bred. Sometimes we place older puppies and young adults. Pet/companion puppies are sold on an AKC limited registration. Show puppies are sold on a full or co-ownership basis with conditions as stated in our contract.
We enjoy every day activities with our Sams, including snuggling on the couch or on the bed. Other activities we have been involved in include conformation, therapy, herding, scootering and some basic obedience.
Moonstar Samoyeds has earned some of the following: AKC and CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) conformation and obedience championship titles, Working Samoyed title from the SCA (Samoyed Club of America), herding instinct certifications, AKC Canine Good Citizen, Temperament Testing and Therapy Dog International Inc. certification.
We are active members of:
